Holistic nutrition takes into consideration the “whole” individual and believes that not only the foods an individual eats, but also their interactions with the surroundings and their experiences, all have an effect on their overall health. Holistic nutrition treats the mind, body and spirit as an integrative unit and understands that they work together; contributing to the optimal health of an individual. Imbalances in these areas may contribute to symptoms of “dis-ease”, pain, insomnia, or improper digestion.
